THE FERO FAST™ THERMAL BRACKET ADVANTAGE
Challenge
Conventional masonry shelf angle designs compromise the
effectiveness of exterior insulation, reducing the energy
efficiency of the building. Conventional shelf angles are
impractical and expensive, especially with thicker insulation
and larger wall cavities.
Conventional Shelf Angles
Interrupted Exterior Insulation
Conventional shelf angles interrupt
the thermal plane of the exterior
insulation, typically at every floor,
reducing thermal efficiency.
Thermal Bridge at Every Shelf Angle
Shelf angles are made of highly
conductive steel. A conventional shelf
angle fully penetrates the insulation,
causing a large linear thermal bridge
along the entire horizontal length
of every shelf angle on the building.
